The Sea of Monsters Trailer!

Like I said, I'd only post for something important!

I'll do a review of it when I get a chance, but it may not be for a couple of days!

Thanks for Reading, and Again, Happy Holidays

But this will seriously be my last post for a week or so, unless something urgent happens

Important Dates!

James Junkers

From Rick Riordan's Blog:

So here are the release dates I know about. These are all posted online, but contact your favorite bookseller for specifics if you want to pre-order, and if anything changes, I will let you know! Again as always, these are U.S. release dates. I don't get information for other countries, so if you live outside the U.S., your best bet is to ask a local bookseller or the publisher of my books in your country. (The publisher is usually listed on the spine of the book and on the cover page inside.)

The Serpent's Shadow paperback edition will be released in the U.S. on May 7. This edition will include the Percy Jackson/Carter Kane story The Son of Sobek, and is the first place you can read that story. That's about forty pages of extra adventure at no additional cost.

But maybe you've already bought your copy of The Serpent's Shadow, and you say, "How can I read The Son of Sobek without buying Serpent's Shadow again?"

Which brings us to the second release date:

On June 18, The Son of Sobek will be released as an electronic e-single. (Actual cover to be unveiled soon.) This will cost less than the paperback book described above, and it will include the text version of Sobek *and* the audio version of the story, read by yours truly -- the first time I've ever narrated one of my own stories in its entirety. And . . . drum roll . . . it will also include an exclusive sneak peek chapter for The House of Hades. You can read it here before it's available anywhere else.

And some of you say, "Whaaa! I have to buy an e-single to get the sneak peek? I want it for freeeeee!"

Yes, Disney-Hyperion will be releasing a free sneak peek as well, a little closer to the release date for House of Hades, as they always do, but bundling it with the e-single first is a 'thank you' for those who order the story. And, of course, I hope you'll want to get The Son of Sobek anyway because I hope you'll enjoy it!

And finally:

The fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series, The House of Hades, will be released October 8. 2013! We will reveal the actual cover of the book on May 31. Sneak peeks will be revealed during the summer, as described above -- which is pretty much the same timetable Disney-Hyperion uses every year.

In case you don't want to read all of that, here is my "sum-it-up:"

  1. The Serpent's Shadow (Paperback) comes out May 7; it will include The Son of Sobek
  2. The Son of Sobek (cover not yet released)will be released as a separate e/audio-book on June 18; it will be read by Rick Riordan; it will include chapter 1 of The House of Hades
  3. The House of Hades cover will be released on May 31
  4. The House of Hades chapter 1 (w/o The Son of Sobek) will be released over the summer
I wouldn't really worry about getting the e-book/audio-book just for the sneak peak; I'm sure we will be able to find it online somewhere, where somebody posted it. The real news there was May 31; we will finally have a cover!!!

Anyways, I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I have a reason: I'm going away tomorrow, and I won't be able to post for a week (unless something huge comes up, and I'll just use my phone). So, I wanted to create something cool for you guys!

I've been working on it for a while now, so you better like it ;)

It is basically, all of the prophecies of all 8 books we have gotten so far, with pictures describing them. I know it doesn't look like much, but I tried my hardest :D

Thanks For Reading, And Happy Holidays To Those Who Celebrate!

God of the Week 6!

Fiona Verde
I am now doing God of the Week

Goddess: Demeter

Roman Form: Ceres

Goddess of: Agriculture, The Harvest

Demigod Children: Katie Gardner

Weapon of Choice: Plants

Movie Actress: Stephanie von Pfetten.

My Favorite Quote:  "[...]And if there is one thing we agree on - it is that you were a TERRIBLE father." [said Hades] "True," muttered Demeter.  "No appreciation of agriculture."  In regards to Kronos, The Last Olympian.

Fun Facts:
  • Demeter stays with Persephone and Hades in the underworld during most of the the battle with Kronos, and comes to fight when the other two do.
  • Demeter is one of the first to vouch for Percy in The Titans Curse.
  • She has an obsession with cereal.

My 'Bracket'!

James Junkers

Here is my bracket from yesterday's post!

I highlighted the ones that were the hardest decisions for me. In the end, I guess I am pretty bias.

**PJ v HP should've been highlighted too**

Random Note!

James Junkers

This isn't fully Percy Jackson related, but I thought some of you might find it interesting. I found this online somewhere; it is a "bracket"where different book characters are compared to see who wins.

I was pretty impressed that I knew almost all of them.

Try filling it out, and telling me your results (top 4, top 2, winner), or more if you want. I'll fill mine out and give it to you by tomorrow, hopefully.
Try not to be PJ bias, and fill it out truthfully

Thanks for Reading!

Octavian

Fiona Verde

In The Son of Neptune,  when Percy first meets Octavian, this happens:

"You remind me of someone,"  said Percy.  "I can't remember who."
"Possibly my name sake, Octavian-Augustus Caesar.  Everyone says I bear a remarkable resemblance."
Percy didn't think that was it, but he couldn't pin down the memory.

The question is, who does Octavian remind Percy of?
Well, I read part of a fan fiction that involves Octavian going to Camp Half Blood.  Everyone there is staring at him.  He finds out that it is because he looks exactly like Luke, without a scar.
What if Luke and Octavian are some how related, like Sammy and Leo?  Obviously they can't be grandfather and grandson, but maybe they are cousins.  Luke's mom could have a sibling, who is one of Octavian's parents.  We don't know Octavian's last name. Could it be Castellan?
The only thing wrong with this theory is, Annabeth didn't have a reaction when she saw Octavian, not one of recognition.  If he looked like Luke, wouldn't she have a reaction, even if she was distracted with Percy? Even if Octavian looked like someone else, Annabeth would have noticed, after she got over the excitement of seeing Percy.
Unfortunately Percy has not brought up this subject again, so we do not have any more information.  But if Annabeth doesn't think Octavian looks familiar, and Percy does, than Percy must have seen this look-alike  when they weren't adventuring together.
Hmm... Percy delivered the master bolt to Olympus without Annabeth.  But she's been there a lot of other times, so you would think she saw all the same people.
Annabeth wasn't there for the quest to find Artemis, of course.  I can't think of anyone who looks like Octavian from that adventure, although I lost the book, and haven't read it in more than a year, so I may have missed someone.
Percy visited Ogygia by himself, but the only person there was Calypso.
He also went to blow up the Princess Andromeda with only Beckendorf.  Maybe there was a demigod who looked like Octavian on board.
Of course, it could be some random person who went to one of Percy's schools.
Who knows, maybe this is nothing, just Percy's memories being messed with more than we thought. Although I doubt Rick Riordan would have just said that, and then made it nothing.

If you can think of any other times that Percy might have seen someone Annabeth didn't, or you can think of someone else who might resemble Octavian (and is around the right age) please leave a comment.

My Old Blog

Fiona Verde

This isn't a real post, just responding to a comment.
Solace Utara asked me to post a link to my old blog.  Just saying, it sucks.  But if you want to check it out here is the link http://annabethandpercy.blogspot.com/

Getting Closer!

James Junkers

As of recently, you can pre-order The House of Hades on Amazon (and other book websites).

But, what is the good thing about this? This means we now have an official description!

At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don't succeed, Gaea's armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.

That'll be interesting! Can't wait!

Another cool thing: The House of Hades is rated ages 10 and Up; that's a step up from the past!

On another note, what do you guys think of Fiona so far? Trust me, she is an awesome writer, and is going to be a key aspect to my Blog!

And on another note, I may be cancelling God of the Week. It's kind of boring for me to do. I don't know, do you guys actually like it? Let me know.

Thanks for Reading!

Monday, March 18, 2013

Hello!

Hello, I 'm Fiona Verde and  I 'm thirteen years old.
I started reading Percy Jackson and The Olympians when I was nine.  All  the books were out so I read them in about two or three weeks.  I didn't know anything about The Heroes of Olympus until I went to the library and found The Lost Hero.  That was about six months before The Son of Neptune came out.  After each Heroes of Olympus book, Percy Jackson has moved higher and higher on my Favorite Books List, and is now hovering around the top.
A little while ago I decided to make my own Percy Jackson blog.  I emailed James Junkers to ask if he could advertise my blog on his.  He said he would, in a few days.  He read some of my posts, and emailed me, asking if I would like to post on his blog. I said "YES!"
I will post my thoughts and opinions on Percy Jackson, but I am also going to wright some fan fiction.

That's it for now!  I hope to make a real post in the next two days.
Bye for now!

Big News!

I have decided that it has become too difficult to post every day, not only for lack of ideas, but for lack of time.

Instead of telling you guys that I will just be posting every other day, or even less, I have decided to do something different.

I have decided to enlist a new author on my Blog. Fiona Verde. She will be posting on my Blog as well as me. In order to know who is posting, you can do one of the following:
1) Look at the bottom of the post, and it'll say the author, by where you click to comment
2) Look at the top of the post, and it'll say who is posting; we will each write it at the top of our posts for now on

Sometime, by tomorrow, if not sooner, Fiona will do a post talking about who she is and the alike.

I also think this will be great, as it will give a different opinion for you guys [and me] to look at.

P.S. This is my 100th post, and I just hit 6,000 views!!! :D

Death Part 2!

Continuation of Yesterday

Other Characters
  • Nico: Definitely very possible. Like I've said before, Nico promised (an oath) Percy that he'd meet them at the other side of Tartarus. What if the only way to get them out is or him to go in?
  • Reyna: If Reyna dies, what happens to Leyna (Leo and Reyna)? That can't happen, her dogs will protect her.
  • Octavian: I know you all want this one to happen! And I think it might. When the war comes (if it comes), I think he may die in that. If not, I think the last book will end with his execution or something for trying to lead the demigods into all out war. I think this one is very possible!
  • Rachel: Aren't oracles immortal?
  • Grover: I never thought about it before, but maybe. Maybe he is going to have to sacrifice himself for something, though, I doubt it.
  • Juniper: Hasn't been mentioned in a while, so I doubt it.
  • Chiron: Here's the interesting one. The only way Chiron can die, from my POV, is if he breaks a swear on the River Styx. He said, when Jason came to Camp Half-Blood that he swore never to speak of it again, it referring to the Romans. However, now that a Roman invasion is pending on CHB, will he have to tell? Will that lead to his death?
  • Tyson: I doubt Tyson will die, he is a strong cyclops, but he needs to return soon. I miss the old guy!
  • Hedge: Very unlikely, who can kill Coach Hedge? No one's a match for him and his baseball bat!
  • Thalia: Hasn't been mentioned in a while, and she's an immortal Hunter of Artemis, so I doubt anything will happen, though, I hope she returns!
  • Hylla: Hasn't been mentioned in a while, so I doubt anything will happen, though, I hope she returns!
  • Clarisse: Not mentioned after The Lost Hero, so I doubt anything will happen, though, I hope she returns!

Death Part 1!

I've actually been wanting to do a post about this for a while now. Not neccessarily about who has died, but about who will die.

I think most, if not all of you will agree with me on this: At least one person will die in Heroes of Olympus Book 5. The main reason we all assume this is line 3 of the prophecy, An Oath To Keep With A Final Breath. Who will it be is the question.

Main Characters (7)
  • Percy: I don't think Percy is high up on anyone's list of "who should die?" The only oaths I can remember Percy making are the one with Phineas (and that doesn't really apply anymore), and telling Annabeth that he'd stay with her/protect her forever (however, if this oath was to be broken, Annabeth would die); also, most authors do not kill off their main characters, so I would assume this line does not apply to Percy
  • Annabeth: Annabeth is probably right next to Percy on that list of "who should die?" all the way at the bottom. I can't remember Annabeth making any oaths per say. The only thing that could be applied to Annabeth is what I said above: maybe, it isn't the person who says the oath that dies, maybe the oath is the cause of death; maybe Annabeth will be left by Percy for a minute, and she'll die (although extremely unlikely); all in all, however, I would assume this line does not apply to Annabeth
  • Leo: I don't think it would be in Rick's best interest to kill Leo either. Although we've only known him for 2 years, he is definitely up there with Percy for "fan-favorite." He may be involved in something though, with his pyrokinesis, but we'll just have to wait and see.
  • Piper:The only thing I can see with Piper is that she makes someone make an oath, or something along those lines. You know, with her charm speaking and such.
  • Jason: Hmm, I don't really see anything here. I really dos doubt Jason will die, I don't see how he could. But we'll probably learn more about him in The House of Hades, assuming he gets a narrating role.
  • Hazel: Hazel is definitely the one everyone is assuming this line refers to, and for good reasons. Everyone assumes Hazel will be the one to close the Doors of Death from the inside, therefore, dying, however, what oath does that keep? Unless in The House of Hades, she promises she'll do it, but that'd be too obvious. The other thing with Hazel is Frank's stick. She promised Frank that she'd protect it. What if this is it? What if she closes the Doors of Death with Frank's stick in her pocket? Would that release Frank from his curse?
  • Frank: The only thing I can see with Frank is what I stated above, only in the reverse. The only oath he has been involved in thus far was with Hazel in regards to his stick. What if she gets it burned by accident? That would break the oath, and someone would die. That would technically work. Another thing with Frank could be involving Percy. Hera/Juno did say [along with a bunch of other people] that Percy's fatal flaw was he was too trustworthy/cared too much about his friends. What if Percy has to kill Frank, what if the only way to complete the quest is to light Frank's stick?
Please realize that more oaths could be made in The House of Hades

I'm going to post all of these characters tomorrow!

  • Reyna

WarriorsandPJ!

Although this is long overdue, WarriorsandPJ has just decided on her prize for winning my FanFiction Contest!

My Review of Her Blog

To be honest, there are three Blogs I check constantly (besides mine and RR's). They are percyjacksonfandom.bogspot.com, prophetsoftheforce.blogspot.com, and WarriorsandPJ's Blog, percyjacksonfansunite.blogspot.com. It's a funny story of how I came about her Blog. In one of the first few days of creating my Blog, I searched "Percy Jackson Fans Unite" on google, and clicked on the first link I saw [assuming it was my Blog]. I was redirected to a page I was not familiar with, and quickly looked through it. I saw, it, like mine, was new, and I contacted the author.

Everyday I go on her Blog to check for a new update, and am extremely upset when there isn't one (although she does post very often). She posts about things that I don't even think of; things that have an interesting turnout when you think about them.

Her Blog is much less formal than mine. This is not a bad thing to the slightest bit, but just adds a reason to why everyone should look at it. Please, all of you check it out, at least once, but don't forget to return here!

Congratulations and Please, Keep Reading My Blog!

Random Thought!

Imagine they made a Percy Jackson animated series.

Each book would represent a season.

Clearly, they would add things that didn't happen in the books to make it a little more interesting.

But, wouldn't that be kind of cool? Like if they actually followed the story-line well.

I don't know, that just popped into my head!

Thanks for Reading!

God of the Week 5!

Hades PJGod: Hades

Roman Form: Pluto

God of: Dead, Wealth, the Underworld

Demigod Children: Hazel Levesque, Nico (and Bianca) di Angelo

Weapon of Choice: Helm of Darkness, His Sword (Sword of Hades), or His Staff (Staff of Hades)

Movie Actor: Steve Coogan

My Favorite Quote: And the minor gods," I said. "Nemesis, Hecate, Morpheus, Janus, Hebe--they all deserve a general amnesty and a place at Camp Half-Blood. Their children shouldn't be ignored. Calypso and the other peaceful Titan-kind should be pardoned too. And Hades-"
"Are you calling me a minor god?" Hades bellowed. to Percy Jackson, The Last Olympian

Fun Facts:
  • Riordan displays Hades much unlike most modern-day mythological re-creations; in Percy Jackson, Hades is displayed more as a neutral god than an evil one
  • The four children mentioned of Hades (Nico, Bianca, Hazel, and Adolf Hitler) were all born/lived during the 1940's
  • At first it seemed that Hades was the only one to follow the pact of the Big Three, but later it was realized that he broke it the most
  • In early mythology, Hades was considered infertile, and therefore had no demigod children; it was not until later depictions that Hades was considered to have demigod children

Response to Comments!

As promised, here is my response to all of the comments I have gotten regarding my last few posts!

Line 1

None

Line 2

"I don't know if this is relevant, but there are 2 ppl for storm: Percy and Jason, and 2 ppl for fire: Frank and Leo. Percy and Jason are the "leaders," and Leo and Frank have lots of connections regarding Hazel and such... ohh and it's also called the House of HADES!! But idk if this will mean anything... maybe just a coincidence..."
~Anonymous
I don't know how many of you know about this, but in classical Greek Mythology, there was a House of Hades. This house was not located in the Underworld. It is commonly confused with Hades' Palace where he [and Persephone] live. While I am not sure if this is what Riordan is referring to by The House of Hades, this is a fact from Greek Mythology. So, based on that, I don't really see where you're going there. You're taking one thing (Jason and Percy - Storm, Leo and Frank - Fire), relating it to another (Hazel's love triangle), and putting that into another thing (Hazel is a daughter of Hades), which let me just add is not true. Hazel is not a daughter of Hades, she is a daughter of Pluto. There is a difference. Nico is a son of Hades, and he will be traveling with the rest of the group (at least for now), so maybe something will happen there. But besides that, I don't really understand what you're trying to say.

"I think it's Jason and Leo :)"
~Solace Utara
"me too and if it is'nt jason i think it's percy"
~Arnell Pulido
The only problem I see with that is, it'd be too obvious. Look at my sidebars, and spend some time looking at every prophecy. How many of them [besides The Son of Neputne] had prophecies where things could easily be predicted? Most of the time, it is something you'd never expect, but becomes so obvious once it is said. So, like I keep saying, the chances are, none of these are correct.

Line 3

"I hope Chiron doesn't die. that would be so sad. I think Nico might have something to do with that line but i don't know...it would be sad if anyone were to die."
~queenhuntress-13
"I agree with ^"
~Solace Utara
Yes, it would be sad for anyone to die, but I think it has to happen. This just reminded me, though, that I want to do a post regarding the deaths that may occur, so I'll save my major points for then.

"I think it means that Hazel is going to shut the doors from the inside thus, "dying." but she might take Frank's stick with her, keeping her promice to him.
Of course the options you thought of are very possible too."
~Louise Lewis
Like I said above, I'm going to save my points for when I do my death post, but I do like your Frank's stick idea. Hazel promised to hold it and protect it for Frank, she made an oath. If she goes into the Underworld, and dies, she will have kept that oath with her final breath, and, that would solve Frank's problem, as maybe he wouldn't have to worry about the stick anymore. Good idea!

Line 4!

And Foes Bear Arms To The Doors Of Death

This is another obvious line.

Foes (Gaea's forces) bear arms (are guarding) the Doors of Death.

God of the Week is being pushed until Wednesday this week, so I can respond to comments tomorrow!

Sunday, March 10, 2013

Line 3!

An Oath To Keep With A Final Breath

Okay, so I'd say that this is the most controversial line of the prophecy, as we have the least information about it, and there are so many possibilities.

Here are my three main focuses (although, again, the chances are, none of them are correct)

  1. Chiron: He said in The Lost Hero that he swore on the river styx never to talk about the two camps, however, now that the Romans are about to invade Camp Half-Blood, maybe he will be forced to tell the camp about the Romans, and since it was a swear on the river styx, he will die (final breath)
  2. Nico: He promised Percy at the end of The Mark of Athena that he'd meet him and Annabeth at Tartarus (on the other side); maybe, the only way to get them out will be for him to go in (and possibly die) (final breath)
  3. Zeus: Although this is very unlikely to happen, at the end of The Last Olympian, he swore on the river styx a huge promise (that Percy made him say); maybe some part of this will have an effect (although I don't know what it could be)

I think out of those, the one with the greatest likelihood is #1, however, again, it probably will be something none of us could think of.

What do you think it is?

Saturday, March 9, 2013

Line 2!

To Storm Or Fire The World Must Fall

Clearly, this line could mean many, many things.

Possibilities:
  1. Is storm Jason? Jason is the son of Zeus
  2. Is storm Percy? He did conjure up the hurricane
  3. Is fire Leo? He can create fire
  4. Is fire Frank? His life depends on fire
  5. Is fire the Underworld?
  6. Is storm Olympus?
My best guess for this line is that it is referring to:

To storm (Olympus -- the gods) or Fire (Underworld -- Gaea's forces) the World must Fall (One of them will win and be the rulers)

I know this is sort of the thing like..."NO! Storm and Fire have to refer to people!!!"

But, the truth is, it is probably none of these things, it'll probably be something no one would think of.

Well, that's my opinion, tell me yours below!

Contest From 5000!

Just in case some of you didn't notice, here is a recap of the contest mentioned in "5000!"

Since no one gave me any ideas :/, I had to come up with my own. This contest is more for the "artistic" of you. The one thing my Blog doesn't have is a blog button, and I want one! My photoshop skills aren't great, and I'm not a great (okay let's be honest...I'm a terrible) artist! So, here are the rules!

Blog Button Contest
  1. It may be drawn (and scanned) or made by a computer program
  2. The width could not exceed 200 px (it should be close to there, though)
  3. It must not have a height too large that it looks bad (I'd prefer it be a greater width than height)
  4. It should represent my Blog in some way that can be easily identified
  5. It may depict movie or book scenes
  6. All entries should be emailed to me at percyjacksonjunkers@gmail.com by April 12 (4/12)
  7. Everyone may enter a maximum of 3 times
  8. Once submitted, an entry could only be changed (resubmitted) if I am notified within 3 days
  9. Amount of time entering/how fast you enter will not affect chances of winning
  10. It may not use copyrighted images without consent of the owner
The winner will receive the following:
  1. Their art will be featured on my site
  2. They will receive a post (by me) thanking them
  3. They will get to write their own post on my Blog
  4. They will get one other [reasonable] request
Please take into account the color/style of my Blog when making the button, because it will appear on my Blog!
Good Luck To All!

P.S. I'm going to post "Line 2!" later today!

Line 1!

Seven Half-Bloods Shall Answer the Call

Okay, well, this should be the most obvious of lines.

The seven half-bloods are:

Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon

Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Athena

Leo Valdez, Son of Hephaestus

Piper McLean, Daughter of Aphrodite

Frank Zhang: Son of Mars

Hazel Levesque, Daughter of Pluto

Jason Grace, Son of Jupiter

These seven, shall answer the call.

The call is to save the world from the Gigantes and the awakening Gaea.

Plan for the Next Few Days!

Okay, I haven't done much on the Prophecy of Seven in a while. So, here is what I am going to do:

Friday: Line 1
Saturday: Line 2

Critique of My First Post!
December 16, 2012

For years and years now, I have been in love with everything related to Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan. Recently my obsession has grown, as I have been checking Rick Riordan's Blog everyday, hoping to get new information. Now, not even that is enough! I have searched the web for a good Percy Jackson Fan blog, but was upset to see I couldn't find one! So, here I am now, ready to make my own good Percy Jackson Fan Blog!

I will try to post as often as possible, but seeing as I am a teenager, sadly, I will not be able to post everyday. For this reason, I am going to request from you, the reader, a partnership! If there is anyone out there, who like me, has been searching for a site like this, please email me at percyjacksonjunkers@gmail.com to discuss how you can help me, you, and everyone else!

Well this is it for this post, however, I will do another one real soon today, so I can talk about what got me into Percy Jackson in the first place!

Let's go sentence by sentence!
  1. "For years and years now, I have been in love with everything related to Percy Jackson and Rick Riordan." Yes, I was, and I still am! He's the man!
  2. "Recently my obsession has grown, as I have been checking Rick Riordan's Blog everyday, hoping to get new information." I still do! And guess what, he posts much less now than he did then :(
  3. "Now, not even that is enough! I have searched the web for a good Percy Jackson Fan blog, but was upset to see I couldn't find one!" I guess I didn't search hard enough, because I now know of not many, but a few stellar Blogs. But, if I did find those originally, you may not have had me :)
  4. "So, here I am now, ready to make my own good Percy Jackson Fan Blog!" Not good--amazing!
  5. "I will try to post as often as possible, but seeing as I am a teenager, sadly, I will not be able to post everyday." See guys, look how good I am -- I said I wasn't going to post every day, but I do!
  6. " For this reason, I am going to request from you, the reader, a partnership!" Seriously? This was my first day with my Blog and I was already trying to give part of it away? LOL!
  7. "If there is anyone out there, who like me, has been searching for a site like this, please email me at percyjacksonjunkers@gmail.com to discuss how you can help me, you, and everyone else!" Hmm...I wanted to give away some of my Blog? Okay... But while we're on that topic, I do go away for the summer, and will not be able to post. So, if anyone wants to run my Blog during the summer, contact me!
  8. "Well this is it for this post, however, I will do another one real soon today, so I can talk about what got me into Percy Jackson in the first place!" Did I really have to say it was my first post? Like...duh! :D

  9. percy jackson gifs photo: this is a pennnn tumblr_kxqfeesjo91qa5ezl.gif
Well, that's my critique of my first post. I'd love to hear yours! Please know that constructive (negative) criticism is not a bad thing. It helps!

My goal is to make my Blog feel as if it were your home! Your Percy Jackson home! That when your bored and need some more Percy, you know where to come.

Another Contest!
By popular demand, I am adding another contest!

Q&A
Here are all the questions I got via comment and email, plus a few of my own!

Did you ever think that your Blog would get 5,000 views?
In simple terms, no! The day I reached 100 I was overjoyed. The day I reached 1,000 I almost cried. The day I reached 2,000 I did cry (JK). Then, I went from 2,000 to 3,000 in like 2 days (no joke). That was fun! Then, it took a while to get to 4,000, but I didn't get too happy, because I was looking forward to 5,000! Now, that that's here....well...words can't describe it!
How many posts do you have?
Including this post, to date, I have 85!
How many comments have you gotten?
Before this post, to date, I have 294! (this includes the few spam ones however, in addition to my own comments)
What grade are you in?
10th
Which one of your posts has the most views?
By Far..."The Son of Sobek!" It has 662 views [to date]! I think it's because when you search that on google, I'm one of the first to come up. When I posted that, it was the time I went from 2,000 - 3,000 views. Combined, my posts "The Son of Sobek!" "The Son of Sobek Review!" and "The Son of Sobek Text!" have over 1,000 views!
What is your favorite color?
Royal Blue...or gold! But I loved blue before Percy :)
What is your best subject in school?
Math...by far! Then Science, English, Spanish, and History. Not to brag, but I'm pretty smart :)
How do you come up with an idea to post every day?
Let me let you in on a little secret. If you really look at all my posts, not every one is about PJ. A lot are about me, or you guys, or something else. It creates the "illusion" that I'm posting every day but technically I'm not. Don't tell anybody though ;) Also, everyone has those days where they have writer's block and can't think of anything, but also have those days where you are so "in the zone," and have way too many ideas. What I do is take advantage of those days and write a few posts so I can use them on days I can't think of anything.
What are some of your hobbies [other than blogging]?
I play basketball and baseball...um...and I do normal teenage stuff...hang out with friends, and all that jazz!
Why do you like Rick Riordan's books?
Hmm...I'm not really sure...it's definitely not the writing style...not to be mean, but I think the way he writes is too childish (but I guess that's okay since they're meant for kids), so probably the topic...I love mythology, and he took a great mythology and put a modern-day twist on it, plus, every book ends in a RickHanger, so you've got to read the next!
If you could meet any author (or person in general) who would it be?
Author -- Probably JK Rowling
Person -- Probably Adam Sandler (=])...or Barack Obama (I'd like to have a conversation with the President...that'd be fun!)
Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter?
Camp Half-Blood
Do you have any siblings?
Yeah, I have a brother (older--not obsessed with Percy Jackson nor anything of the sort)
Do you talk to your friends about your Blogging?
No. None of my friends know that I'm obsessed with the series, nor that I have a Blog. I don't know, they don't need to know ;)
What Camp Half-Blood cabin would you be in?
I did a whole post on this before detailing why I would and would not like to be in each individual cabin. But, if I had to pick right now (not looking at what I said in that post), Hypnos
Do you have any pets?
Nope
What other books do you like to read?
Interesting question. You see, the truth is, I really do not like to read. Like I've said, if you give me a good book, I'll finish it that day, but I do not like to read for the reason that I do not like most books. My favorite series are [in no particular order] Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Rick Riordan), Heroes of Olympus (Rick Riordan), Harry Potter (JK Rowling), Legend (Marie Lu), and The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins)
How old are you?
15
Did you ever read The Hunger Games Trilogy?
Yep, as I said above, I read it and loved it! Can't wait for Catching Fire, the movie. I just hate how Mockingjay is being split into two movies! Like...that was [to me] the worst book! How can they make 2 movies out of that!?
What do you think the title of Heroes of Olympus Book 5 will be?
Haha! I did a whole post on this in the past...you've got to check it out! But, despite what I said in the past, it will most likely be something like, The Wrath of Gaea, or The Final Stand, or even something as simple as The Doors of Death! Whatever it is, I'm so excited to know about it!
What is your favorite movie-book adaption?
I always though Harry Potter was phenomenal, but the Hunger Games is just as great! One of those two!
What is your favorite PJ book?
I did a whole post on both my favorites and least favorites. Check it out! But, at the current point in time, The Battle of the Labyrinth!
Do you have any information on Rick Riordan's next series?
So weird to think that far in advance. 2015. I will be graduating! But yes, I am 99% sure that his Norse Mythology Series is finalized to come out that year. According to Goodreads at least. Plus, he keeps hinting at it on Twitter and his Blog. I don't know, Norse is definitely a mythology I am not too familiar with at all (Greek -- knew very well, Egyptian -- knew somewhat, Roman -- knew somewhat, but Norse -- there's Thor...and Loki!), so I don't know how it will turn out. But Rick does always seem to be excited about this series, so I'm excited too!
What is one thing you wish could have happened in the past?
I wish that I could have had Rick Riordan as a teacher! I mean seriously, he says that he names some characters after students...imagine it... James...son of Hypnos :)
Do you have a boyfriends who likes Percy Jackson?
I'm a boy...I'm straight...if you mean boyfriend as in friend that is a boy then maybe? Like I said above I don't talk to my friends about PJ so maybe...
Who do you dislike more, Piper or Hazel?
Hazel...I never said I don't like Piper :)
What do you like to do for fun?
Said this already. I play basketball and baseball, I hang out with friends...other normal teenager stuff :)
What fandoms do you belong to other than PJ?
I don't do posts, nor talk much about other fandoms, but if I was, it would be the books I said above (HP, PJ, HG, and Legend)
How much does PJ mean to you?
I mean, a lot? Would I die without it? No. Does it make me happy? Yes.
Are you a typical geek?
Thanks. Means a lot ;) I do get along with others (I have friends :/), I don't read a lot (like I said, I don't like reading), and I don't talk about PJ with anyone.
How much money would you give to have The House of Hades right now?
In reality....it'd kind of suck. I wouldn't be able to share my ideas with you guys because you would not have read it, and I'd have to wait a year and a half for Book 5. But, aside from that, maybe $250?
Who do you think would be your godly parent?
Hypnos :) Sleeping is fun!
What is your opinion on Twilight?
Never read it...never watched it...never will
Roman or Greek?
Greek
How's your family?
...well... I don't know what you want me to say! :D

A Little Note in Advance!

I'm not going to be posting tomorrow unless I reach 5,000. Currently, I'm just 86 short! As soon as I see it reaches 5,000, I will do my post (whether it be tomorrow or the next day), but if you see it is 5,000 and I haven't posted yet, it's because I'm in school most likely. And also, its not too late to submit your questions/contest ideas!

Tomorrow?

Sorry, no compelling post today...I'm hard at work for my "5000!" post! I currently have just under 4900, so I'm hoping I'll be able to post it tomorrow. But please, there are still a couple of things I need from you guys!

1. QUESTIONS
Thanks so much to all of you who have asked! If you didn't...ask! If you did...ask more! You guys all seem excited for the Q&A, but if you want it to be great, you need to give me more q's! They could be PJ related, personal, other book related, or...anything you want for that matter! As long as they end with a "?" they're fair game!

2. CONTEST IDEA
I'm still trying to come up with an idea for a contest! I have a backup, just in case no one gives me anything, but I'd rather you guys come up with something, so I know you'll like it!

3. ANYTHING ELSE
Anything else you want me to add? If so, tell me...NOW! I need to know ASAP!

God of the Week 4!

I know I missed it last week due to my layout changing, but let's get back to it!

Goddess: Aphrodite

Roman Form: Venus

Goddess of: Love, Beauty

Demigod Children: Piper McLean

Weapon of Choice: Charmspeak

Movie Actor: Serinda Swan

My Favorite Quote: “I'm so glad you're here," Aphrodite said. "War is coming. Bloodshed is inevitable. So there's really only one thing to do."
"Uh... and that is?" Annabeth ventured.
"Why, have tea and chat, obviously”
to Annabeth Chase, The Mark of Athena

Fun Facts:
  • Technically, she is the eldest Olympian, being raised from Ouranos' ashes
  • Even though she was born like the Titan's, she is an Olympian
  • She gives her blessing to all her children once being claimed
  • At certain times, she is very nice to Percy and Annabeth, but others she is terrible
  • She seems to use her shapeshifting powers the most out of all the gods
  • She is said to be unaffected by her Roman form

Any Suggestions?

I'm nearing 5,000 views! I need something big for it! Any suggestions?

Should I do another contest? If so, what?

Should I write a special post? If so, what?

Should I look back at my first post and critique it?

Should I hold a Q&A with you guys? If so, start asking now!

Should I do something else? If so, what?

Maybe I'm not thinking big enough! You know what, the day I hit 5,000 views, I'll do all of those things! But here's what I need from you:

  1. I need a contest idea! Start giving me them now!
  2. I guess the second one is invalid, because it is already a special post!
  3. I will do the third one, easy enough!
  4. I need you to start asking questions for the Q&A! Ask anything!
  5. I need you guys to come up with any other ideas so I can add them!
5,000 is a big number! And I need to do a big thing!

Contest Entry 4!

Sorry I missed this one!
By Solace Utara

Down. That’s all I could think of. Gripping Annabeth’s hand tighter than ever, I tried to put my thoughts together and mentally prepare for what’s below. As the wind whistled past my ears, I would have liked to say I had a deep moment of revelation. In reality? No. All I could think of is AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Then, suddenly, I had a vague feeling of déjà vu. Then I remembered. On my first quest with Annabeth, I fell like this too. Thoughts passed through my head, each none more than a tenth of a second. It was like I was seeing the Fates again, with my life flashing before my eyes.I am not going to die. I couldn’t see Annabeth in the dark, but I could somehow tell that she was terrified for us. But despite that, I could somehow feel through her grip that she was happy we’re together again.I am too. “I wish Jason was here,” Annabeth said abruptly. “He could have flown us out.” Despite everything, I laughed and pulled her close. I can feel her shaky grin. For a moment, there were just us, no troubles, like we’re not falling through a pit to hell, like we would see the sun rise together next morning, like the gods would be nice and help us. It doesn’t matter that we’re both bloody and dirty. While holding her, I was just thinking that it was extraordinary that we’re still falling. That’s when the pain starts.

Contest Entry 3!

From Eli Bogatin, Son of Hephaestus, Wielder of Fire

As Percy fell, he could feel the aura of Tartarus. He felt around for Anaklusmos in his pocket. It was there. He couldn’t see Annabeth but he knew she was there.
Thump!!
“Uhhh,” Percy groaned.
“Percy, where are you!!” Annabeth yelled.
“Here,” Percy said a couple feet away. Percy took out Riptide. The faint glow was just enough. He saw Annabeth in pain and covered in large black and blue bruises.
Fifty yards away Percy and Annabeth saw a Scythian dracenae to their left and two gorgons to their right.
“Ready?” Percy asked.
“Ready.” Annabeth confirmed.
Percy’s sword was a ‘pure arc of destruction’. So the gorgons got slashed at the head and legs.
Annabeth completely destroyed the Scythian dracenae. So it was a neat pile of dust.
“This will not be easy.” Percy stated.
“Definitely.” Annabeth agreed.
They walked together in the light of their sword and knife. As Percy walked he smelled the worlds worst stench. Then he saw it, His first monster…the Minotaur.
Well I guess he doesn’t have to bathe when he’s in Tartarus. Percy thought.
Then he smelled us. He did his first instinct, he charged.
“I’ll boost you up, so you can stab him in the head.” Percy told Annabeth.
“What!?!?”
“I’ll boost you,” Percy restated “ready set go!!!!”
Annabeth did. She hopped on Percy’s interlocked fingers and she jumped. In the air she slashed at his head. And the Minotaur was a sandcastle in a turbine fan.
They kept walking and they saw light. So they sprinted toward the light. When they got there they saw Nico Di Angelo staring right at them.

Contest Entry 2!

Auntie Em's revenge
by Miya (queen-huntress13)
The worst thing about tartarus? The darkness. It covers you like someone's trapped you in a big black
blanket and no matter what you do, you can't get out.
Annabeth and I were sitting together on the cold stone floor (yeah, there's flooring in tartarus, weird
right?) I'd lost track of how long we'd been down here. It felt like years, but Annabeth said we probably
only fell into tartarus afew days ago. The memory of it was fuzzy. I remembered seeing Annabeth
with a sprained ankle. I remembered holding onto a small rock ledge, telling her I'd never let her go.
I remembered a sickening horrible voice from within the chasm whispering. I remembered thinking I
couldn't let Annabeth fall down there alone. I remembered free falling for what seemed like ages, but I
couldn't remember anything after that. Now Annabeth and I were sitting together on the - wait, I already
said that. The faint light of Riptide, my awesome pen/sword weapon was just bright enough to illuminate
Annabeth's face. Her grey eyes sparkled beutifully in the bronze glow. We barely spoke. I guess we were
thinking about strategic ways to get out of here and find the doors of death. Okay, cross out we, only
Annabeth was thinking that, she's the smart one. Without her, I'd be curled up in a ball hyperventilating
right about now, but Annabeth gave me courage. I always felt better when she was around.
"Seaweed brain?" She looked up at me with those amazing eyes. Her voice startled me. Tartarus was
so quiet it was like you could hear it. I couldn't bear to speak, for fear of breaking the horrible silence. So
when Annabeth spoke I jumped about a foot off the ground and dropped riptide with a loud clang
Annabeth cracked a smile. I regained my composure and asked
"what?"
"We'd better get going if we want to get out of here." She said simply
"Uh, huh? Oh yeah, it's just-" I stammered
"No, I don't know the exact way out, but we made it through the labyrinth right?" Annabeth tried to
sound positive, but there was a deep hopelessness in her voice. Of course the labyrinth seemed like a
simple garden maze compared to what I was feeling now, but I had to be strong, for Annabeth. At least
we were together.
"Yeah, yeah totally, let's go then." I managed. Annabeth hesitated, then rose. The glow of riptide wasn't
very bright compared to the thick blackness of tartarus. In fact, if Annabeth moved two steps away from
me, she would disappear in the endless darkness. So we stayed close together, holding hands so we
wouldn't get separated. Which I totally didn't mind. Along the way Annabeth stopped me from falling
to my death. A thin (just big enough for someone to fall through) and very deep crevice was right at my
toes. I jumped easily over it but it would've been deadly for someone running through, not watching their
step.
I don't know how long we'd been walking when we heard the sound of snakes hissing. Annabeth
squeezed my hand tightly and I made a little squeak, which I was sure Annabeth would tease me about
later if we survived. Something about that noise was familiar, like an old memory I couldn't quite
get rid of. Annabeth must've felt the same way. Relization dawned on her face and I found out why I
remembered this hissing sound so clearly. It belonged to something I had forgotten, something from long
ago that I never dreamed of facing again.
"Medusa." Annabeth and I said together.
"I'm glad you rember me, demigods." medusa hissed. She came closer to the light and Annabeth
clapped a hand over her eyes. I was too late and watched as medusa's face came into view. Except
something was wrong. Medusa had no eyes. I shook Annabeth's arm.
"it's okay, Annabeth. Medusa lost her eyes"
"What the-" Slowly, Annabeth uncovered her eyes and gaped at Medusa's eyeless face
"Yes, yes" Medusa sighed.
."I have not fully reformed since you killed me last, but even without my eyes I can kill you annoying
little scumbags like I've been wanting to for years. I will have my revenge - hey, where'd you go?"
Annabeth and I had not made it very far. Despite her lack of eyes, Medusa could find us pretty well and
was making her way blindly toward where we were hiding
"I will find you eventually, demigods. You cannot escape me" Medusa warned as her clawed hands
groped dangerously close to Annabeth's arm. Medusa moved away and I dragged Annabeth as far as
possible from the eyeless Medusa, stumbling around in the dark. But our footsteps echoed on the stone
and Medusa turned. Her snakes hissing angrily.
"I hope you have a plan, wisegirl." I whispered. Annabeth didn't say anything but shook her head,
looking pale. My spirits sank. If Annabeth didn't have a stratigic and dangerous plan up her sleeve, we
were toast. I watched Medusa stomping angrily in the dark, groping at thin air. I tried desperately to form
a plan but my brain cells were running around screaming "we're gonna be kilked by a monster with no
eyes! Help! Help!" Then Annabeth made that face Like an evil mastermind at work. I knew right away
she had an idea.
"Run!" She told me urgently
"What?" I asked. It sounded stupid. Medusa was fast, there was no way we could lose her.
"Please, you have to trust me!" she urged and pulled me after her. I guess Annabeth's mind was already
getting damaged from tartarus. Her plans were not nearly as great as they were before. We ran through
the darkness in the direction we came from, Medusa's snakes hissing close behind us. My heart was
pounding in my chest. I didn't know how much longer I could run.
"Jump!" Annabeth whispered. Fortunately for me, I knew what she meant. We were back at that weird
crevice in the ground. I lept over it with the last of my strength. I realized Annabeth's plan wasn't so crazy
after all.
"I'll get you son of Poseidon! I will have my revegaaaah!" Medusa's screams grew fainter as she fell
through the hole. I looked at Annabeth in awe. She grinned at me
"Of course she's not dead," she said
"But it will take her quite a while to get back up. I'm a genius."
I laughed for the first time since we had entered tartarus, and shook my head but I knew it was true. The
best thing was not that I was alive. It was that I had Annabeth by my side. Together, we might just get
out of this place alive.
The end!

Contest Entry 1!

The next few posts [today] will be the other entries, in no particular order.
Again, I didn't change anything.
From Ivana Geromino

The Tour of Tartarus.

Annabeth:

I wake up to find pain all over my body, especially around my broken ankle. But falling into Tartarus doesn't hurt as much as I suspected, but I move around enough to see that I actually fell onto Percy. My stilt that I made earlier is still connected, but of course all the bubbles popped. The place we were in reminded me of the Grand Canyon, and the other's adventures. The floor was way too hard, with stones the shapes of skulls. The area around me too was filled with weirdly shaped rocks. So every time I tried to turn and check on Percy, my whole leg felt like there were sparks of fire running up and down it. But when I saw my bag that fell through the floor along with Percy and me, I end up swearing in ancient Greek because all the ambrosia spilled out. So I wobbled over to Percy to see if he has any.
But every time I try to wake up Percy, I swear I here this quiet hiss all around the walls. I even tried to think about the training guide thing Grover taught me. But then I remember "Oh, we're in Tartarus." So I tried searching my bag for some water, and fortunately there was. I spilled some of it on Percy and he shot right up, and for the first time it seems like his hair was wet.
I told him we're still in Tartarus, and the weird hissing sound I kept hearing. But as I was telling him about our situation, the hissing got louder and I stopped talking. The hissing and whispering sounded familiar. Then I thought this, there is only one other person (or shall I say thing) that brought Percy and me here in the first place; Arachne.

Percy stood up quicker than I imagined, probably because of the water I spilled on him. But me on the the other hand, I can hardly turn my body towards him. He helped me up, but Arachne was getting closer way too fast. He got Riptide out and it glowed a brilliant celestial bronze light, and as I suspected Arachne still could be anywhere.
I heard her whispering, "Daughter of Athena, you may have tricked me with my own webs But in Tartarus you contain no power." With a sick hissing laugh. I heard Percy whispering in my ear, "We need to move fast." But I knew that without killing Arachne, we won't be going anywhere. Every second I can here Percy randomly swinging his sword, as if there were flies. But then all of sudden Arachne is in front of me, I should've known it was a distraction. I called out to Percy, only to see him caught in his own webs. I grabbed for the dagger that wasn't there, to see myself trip and fall by a stupid rock that I wasn't watching. Just as I see Arachne about lunge, her legs moving as quick as lightning. The light of Percy's sword turns off. I can hear Arachne wailing and swiping just as I move out of reach, using the rocks as my guide. I threw heavy rocks at an angle just as it hits her then, I move to the opposite side. I heard her trip over one rock when she thought I was there, then I kicked her in the abdomen of her spider-like body and she fell with a big thud. Right when she fell ,Percy turned on his celestial bronze sword, but instead of him hanging in webs on the ceiling I found him by a narrow crack in the stone. When I saw him turn on the light like it was just some light switch, I wanted to judo flip him again. But in the condition I was in, all I said was, "Come on and help me up, Seaweed Brain." But with small delight he walked over and carried me instead. We tried going through the narrow crack which was actually much wider inside. But even though I defeated Arachne, Percy and me are still not safe at all.

Percy:

With the water Annabeth spilled on my head I've been trying to feel energized, but with me hanging on the ceiling with no light, then carrying Annabeth in my arms isn't what you call "saving your energy." Right now it's kind of hard to feel that way, after falling off the Argo II and falling into Tartarus, waited to be Annabeth's mom's worst enemy's lunch doesn't help either. To include, Nico di Angelo (son of Hades) could hardly survive on his own down here. But, at least I still have the smartest (but hurt) Daughter of Athena; Annabeth Chase/my girlfriend. But out here in Tartarus, I'm afraid not even us two can defeat all these monsters. Especially the ones we killed one too many.

I eventually put Annabeth down, I couldn't hold her forever. But here in Tartarus, walking in general is hard. Next thing you know you enter some pothole "of endless death," or into a random brick wall. The air around us was cold, hard, and brittle. It reminded me of the Labyrinth But it is now destroyed, along with Daedalus. But unlike the Labyrinth each time I swallowed air it felt like it wanted to choke me. But oddly there was no monsters in sight, they'll probably be at some pep rally of Gaea. I also for some reason relaxed a bit, but after it seemed like hours since Annabeth fought Arachne. But while I thought it was Annabeth giving me lectures about why I shouldn't turn of the light on my sword, I thought I heard a huff. But I soon realized that Annabeth heard it to when she hushed me (although I didn't even talk). Then we heard it again, just louder and heavier. But in my head, I was like "yes, yes, yes, yes." But then a thought came up; could that be-- Slam! Something like a horn jabbed me in the chest. But why only one? Then I realized, who else did I tore a horn off... the Minotaur. Luckily Annabeth wasn't in my arms by the time he hit me, but she was on the other side of the room laying there not moving. But between us was a big, diaper wearing, one-horned, not so fuzzy Minotaur. I got Riptide out, ready to slice off his last horn. I charged with a battle cry that woke up Annabeth enough to see him crash into me. He breathed as hard as an engine. But I still tried to hold on, he backed up about to run over me like a herd of cows. But I easily moved to the side, got up and smacked him in the horn with the hilt of my sword. But it didn't do much but get him mad, under his breath I heard him say "You aren't getting my last horn this time." His anger made it easy to beat him, every time I charged I either jumped over him and smacked him with the hilt of my sword or dodge him easily, until he finally hit the wall. I waited for the the perfect moment, I went over to his laying body. I took my sword upon his horn, as if I were to hit a golf ball. Then, it came off like a slice of ham. But I had no intention in killing him, he was already in Tartarus. But on the other side I could see Annabeth on the ground moaning, and groaning. Her hair was a mess, she had a bunch of cuts and bruises, and to add a broken ankle. I put her onto a big nearby rock, I sat next to her holding the one, and last horn of the Minotaur. I wondered what she was thinking, I hope she was thinking of a plan of escape and strategy. But instead I find her head slumping on my shoulder sleeping wearily. I was thinking, if I am to die in Tartarus I wouldn't rather be with anyone else then Annabeth. But hopefully the others make it by the time we get here, because I don't think Annabeth can hold on any longer. If we close the Doors of Death, I hope when Gaea goes down she doesn't bring us with her.
But unknowingly I hear the Minotaur huff again, I look for another corridor out and I carry Annabeth once again to safety. Whatever happens I will not lose Annabeth again.

Annabeth:

I don't know if this is a dream or not, but I don't care. I'm at least with Percy.
I find myself on a hill, my back to a cavern looking wall. I see Percy at the bottom of the hill examining a pool of water, probably checking it out if we can drink it. I tried to move, to go over to him. But I know better than to move with a broken stilt, and a broken ankle. But I saw him nod at the water with an approving nod, he then put some in my water bottle with his magical water powers. A smirk ran across his face, then I smiled. After all that's happened he could still smile. But the scenery was a good enough start, as if they want us to enjoy these last moments together. Before I actually realized it Percy was already beside me, looking as if he's ready to have a picnic. Luckily I brought one of the plates from the Argo II that have endless food. So we ate.

But, all that delight I was thinking moments earlier changed. As if a chant, Percy and me saw a group of harpies making weird sounds. I wonder what they were there for. They ate too many kids after curfew? But we still hid. Percy and I hid behind a rock together. I accidentally put pressure on the wrong leg. But if I moved, our fate could be fatal if they were groupies of Gaea. We waited for them to pass by, but it was as if they were waiting for us. But the more I had to wait, the more pain spread around my whole leg down and up. I looked at them from a good distance, but they weren't looking at the rock we were behind. But something above us. But I was too late, by the time I saw what it was Percy was gone. It was a Cyclops, a big one too. Probably about 10 feet tall, and in his hand I could see Percy struggling, arms too stuck to get Riptide. I wanted to help him, but yet again I was useless. I wanted to yell at it to put him down, but he could probably just step on me. I felt a power of rage in me, I couldn't lose Percy again. Not after what's happened, I'm not letting Gaea take Percy away. So I stood up, even with pain throughout my leg. Percy looked at me with a warning look, but I ignored him. I looked in my bag for the sharpest objects, then just when he was about to eat him I stabbed them into his legs and climbed him. He wailed a bit, and he almost dropped Percy too. But I still kept going, I went close enough to Percy while the Cyclops started whacking his leg because of the pain. I took Riptide out of Percy's pocket and stabbed the Cyclops in the hand, I forced so much energy into this I felt a bit dizzy. But it seemed like time went by way too fast, I could feel myself falling. Then landing into a soft bush, I can see in the distance Percy has Riptide in his hand ready to jab at any time. He dodges, he stabs, he climbs and finishes him. But this time it didn't disintegrate, but it didn't matter because I didn't lose Percy this time. I could hear his running footsteps while I'm about to faint. I had over done it. But I feel a smile across my face as he checks on me, but after 2 seconds my smile fades. Percy is gone, taken away again by some other weird looking monster. I've never seen it before it looks blurry, but it grins at me evilly. I wanted to yell and scream at Gaea, but I can hear her laugh all around me. The ground seemed to shake, as I watched Percy get taken away. I wanted to make sure this was never supposed to happen, but in Tartarus we have no control. But I can't lose him again, but I was too tired that I was actually dreaming. Percy was saved, we saved Camp Half-Blood, Greece and Rome are friends again, my mom returns. But I just knew that I can't just dream it, because I have to do it. I'll let Gaea think she's winning, but when the time comes she'll feel the wrath of this Daughter of Athena; Annabeth Chase. Percy, I will get you back.

One Adventure that Percy and Annabeth have in Tarturus.
By warriorsandPJ
I had no idea how long we’d been falling, my watch wasn’t working and with the dark it was hard to tell of we were even falling anymore. I couldn’t see anything and the only thing that felt solid and real was Annabeth’s hand in mine.
The hours blurred into days and it seemed like we’d never reach the bottom. It was like we were stuck in limbo or something.
I opened my eyes and realized that my feet were on solid ground. I looked around, there was only a gray rocky landscape as far as I could see. I looked up but the only thing above us was black. Pitch black, the kind that’s so thick you could cut it with a knife.
I turned to Annabeth, her face was grey and ashen and she was keeping her weight off of her hurt ankle. “Well we survived the fall.” I said lamely.
Annabeth was still looking around, taking in the landscape. “This is just the beginning.” She said.
A glow in the shadows caught my eye and I tensed, reaching for riptide. “What’s that?” I asked.
“It looks like the glow that comes off celestial bronze.” Annabeth said, reaching for her dagger then realizing that she didn’t have it.
I drew riptide and held it so the glow shone in front of us, “Only one way to find out.” We walked forward slowly, Annabeth was limping but otherwise we were fine.
I relaxed when I realized what the glow was, “It’s your dagger.” I said to Annabeth, but she wasn’t by my side anymore. I looked around wildly, searching for her and saw her kneeling by something a few feet away. I picked up her dagger by the hilt and walked over and realized what it was, Dedaulus’s laptop was laying there in millions of pieces. Annabeth turned and looked up at me, “The laptop . . .”
“I know.”
“There were so many files I hadn’t even looked at yet.” Annabeth’s voice wavered as she spoke.
“It’s okay,” I reassured her, “You’ll build better things.” I held out her dagger for her to take. “We’d better start walking.”
Annabeth took the dagger and looked around, “I have no idea which way to go.”
Truth be told, I didn’t either. There were no walls, and no way to tell what direction we should go. Everything looked the same, it would be easy to end up wandering in circles forever.
Then I heard a voice in my head, Come this way godling, follow my voice it purred and I froze. I knew that voice.
“Did you hear that?” I asked Annabeth.
She nodded grimly, “Kronos. His essence is down here.”
“But it’s scattered thin, too thin to do anything right?” I asked nervously.
“I thought so, but now I’m not so sure.” Annabeth’s response did not make me feel any better.
Then it spoke again, more firmly. This way, I will lead you out.
“Nice try!” I called into the space in front of us. I turned around, “This way.” I figured that if Kronos wanted us to go one way we should turn around and head the other way.
Annabeth gripped my hand and together we walked forward.
It felt like we had been walking for days, we were tired, hungry and thirsty.
Annabeth was limping badly so I suggested that we stop for a rest.
“We need to keep going.” Annabeth insisted.
“We’re not going to be of any help to the others if we die down here.” I stopped walking. “We need to rest.”
Annabeth sighed and sat down on a rock, her ankle looked purple and swollen. I wished we had nectar or ambrosia but we had nothing.
I sat down next to her, “I wonder why we haven’t seen any monsters.”
“Gaia must have pulled them all out to fight in her army.” Said Annabeth.
“This is too easy.” I frowned, “She can’t have pulled all of them out.”
“You’re right, demigod.” Said a voice behind us. Both Annabeth and I jumped up and pulled out our weapons as an empousa walked up to us, spear drawn. “You’re not alone.”
And then a half a dozen more empousai appeared behind her, all holding some sort of weapon. “It’s our mission to make sure you never leave.” Said the leader.
“Um, didn’t Gaea want us alive?” I asked, trying to buy us some time.
An empousai with curly brown hair came into view. I recognized this one. “Kelli.” I gripped my sword tighter.
“Fish.” Said Kelli with a smirk.
“Wait, how do you know this monster?” Annabeth asked.
“Freshman orientation.”
“What?”
“You know, exploding band room, you met Rachel for the first time?” I offered helpfully.
Annabeth’s eyes narrowed, “Oh yeah.” Maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned Rachel.
Kelli was talking to the leader, “Amber, Gaea said to deliver them alive.”
Amber glared at Kelli, “There’s been a slight change of plans. These demigods will have to be replaced because someone wants to -” she paused for dramatic effect, “See you.”
The group of empousa parted to reveal a familiar veiled head. “Percy Jackson and the child of Athena.” Said Medusa, “You will final pay for killing me.” She tilted her head, “I’ve been waiting to add you vile little creatures to my collection.”She reached for her veil and Annabeth and I closed our eyes tight.
“We’ll leave you guys alone.” Said Amber,“We need to explain to Gaea that there’s been a . . . accident.” Then we heard the sounds of the empousai walking away.
“Finally alone.” Said Medusa, “Now open those eyes. The statues look so much better with open eyes.” She stepped closer and I swung riptide, hoping to hit her by chance.
“You think a little toy like that would hurt me here?” I could just hear her smirk. “I haven’t re-formed since you last bested me. So since I’m dead, I can’t be killed.”
“Oh great.” Muttered Annabeth.
“What now?” I asked.
“Open your eyes.” Medusa hissed all pretense of kindness now gone. Her snakes rattled and hissed creating an eerie noise in this silent plain.
“Run?” suggested Annabeth.
“It’s no use demigods.” Sneered Medusa stepping forward and trailing a finger over my shoulders. “I’ll just catch up with you. There’s no way out. You won’t find the Doors.”
I squirmed away from her and held my sword out in front of me. “We will find the doors, and we’re going to close them.” I said firmly.
Medusa laughed, “Do you realize that the Doors have to be closed from both sides?” she asked. “Whoever closes them on this side will be trapped here forever.” She paused then said, “You’ll never get there in time anyways.”
I hadn’t even thought about closing the Doors. Would Annabeth and I be trapped here forever?
Annabeth grabbed my hand, “You don’t scare us Medusa. And you might not be able to die down here but I bet we can make you miserable.” She held her knife up in her other hand, listening for Medusa’s reply.
“You cocky little cockroach.” Medusa spat. “Daughter of Athena you will pay.”
“Oh yeah?” I felt Annabeth move and heard Medusa scream. “Run!” shouted Annabeth.
“I will find you!” screamed Medusa as we sprinted away, eyes still firmly closed.
When we couldn’t hear her anymore we opened our eyes and hid behind a large rock. Annabeth was limping badly, that running probably made her ankle worse.
“What’d you do to her?” I asked.
“I threw my dagger.” Annabeth responded, “I’m not sure but I think I pierced her heart.”
“But now you have no weapon.”
Annabeth shrugged and smiled, “You’ll just have to protect me.” She threw her arms around me and hugged me tightly.
“We’ll make it through this.” I said, holding her close. “I promise.”
THE END
