Hi guys! In regard to the poll when I asked you which of my templates you liked better, the new or the old, so far almost everyone has said new. However, 2 people [so far] have said the old. So, if those two people could comment (could be anonymous) why they said the old so I could further improve, that would be awesome!
I also had someone ask me how I changed the mouse on my Blog (to the sword). If you are a Blogger, and you want a different mouse to appear on your Blog, email me (percyjacksonjunkers@gmail.com), and I will give you instructions on how to do it. It's kind of hard to explain (you have to edit the HTML code), so if you email me, I will tell you what to send me (from your HTML), and I will edit it and send it back to you. I can basically get you any mouse you'd like. --If anyone wants that--
Anyways, that's all for today. I was going to post The Titan's Curse: Graphic Novel post today, but I figured I'd get the news out to you as fast as I could.
And again, I'm beginning to run out of ideas. This is my 32nd post in February! That's more than one a day! To keep momentum like this going, I need ideas. Please comment your ideas below, or email me them. They could be stupid, intellectual, funny, serious, PJ related, kind-of-PJ related, not-really-PJ-related, or whatever you want. I'm open to talking about anything!
So, Thanks for Reading, and may Hypnos give you good dreams tonight!

Facebook/Twitter!
Someone asked me if I have a Blog Facebook or Twitter page. Well the answer is...no. I spend enough time as it is trying to write a post each and every day. However, here is my offer for you guys: If anyone wants to create a Facebook/Twitter for my Blog, I will give you full admin rights to do whatever you want with it.
I'm not expecting anyone to actually want to do this, but if someone does, well, by all means, just comment or email me!

Hazel Levesque (2)!
Here it is! The post you have all been waiting for! Why I Dislike Hazel Levesque!
Now, I completely understand reasons people do like Hazel:
- She gave her life for her mother
- She gave her after-life for her mother
- She has an interesting story
- Etc.
And, I will answer all rebutles made to this post in a weeks time, just to give you all a chance to ask me your questions.
But just adding this in: When (I'm 90% sure it will happen) Hazel goes and is the one to close the Doors of Death from the inside, what will your feeling be? I, too, will be sad, but I will also be happy, as you should be: Hazel is going to be sent to Elysium.
However, there is always that chance the gods will be nice and get her out. We're just going to have to wait and see.
I hope you all respect my opinions, as I do yours!
Thanks for Reading!
Please note that this is only called "Hazel Levesque (2)!" because I did a post about Hazel a while back, where I talked about why I feel she is an important character.
Okay, so how should I do this?
- Hazel has so many powers
- Hazel is pretty mean to Frank
- I just don't like her

Sorry...Again!
I don't have time to write a "God of the Week" this week, I'm still fixing my formatting of my Blog. However, tomorrow will be my "Why I Dislike Hazel" Post that I know so many of you are eagerly awaiting.
On a side note, thank you so much to Solace Utara of prophetsoftheforce.blogspot.com for designing my header! It looks great!

I Did What You Asked!
Okay Guys, I took into account everything that was commented on my post "Layout!" and I picked the things I liked the best. I changed a lot of things in my Blog, and this is what I ended up with. So, my question for you: Which do you like better? Please take a moment to answer the poll below!
Also, if you have any additional details, feel free to comment what you think!

I live in New York
I've been down the Long Island Sound--I didn't see half blood hill
I've been to the Empire State Building--I didn't see a 600th floor
I've been to Brooklyn--I didn't see a house full of magicians
It's just so irritating to know I've passed by all of these places; I've walked past Percy in training, I've walked under Zeus during a meeting; I've walked past an alligator swimming in a backyard swimming pool; I've seen all of these things but I can't go in them. Hopefully one day my satyr will take me to Camp Halfblood and my pet will turn into a god and take me to the Brooklyn house. But until that day, I'm just going to have to wait in agony!

The Singer of Apollo!
Thank you for letting me reach 4000 views! For that, you guys get another post!
Anyways, I don't know what to say about this, but I recently saw somewhere that Riordan is writing ANOTHER short story, Percy Jackson and the Singer of Apollo. I have NO IDEA when it is coming out, I can barely find any info on it. Anyways though, Rick read a preview of it which you can find by looking it up (my comp. won't let me post a link right now). It's easy to find though. Anyways, if anyone has any more info, let me know!

Sorry, I don't have time for a real post today!
P.S. Only a little over a week left to enter in the contest!

I haven't changed it (majorly) since when I made the Blog
So, if you have time, could you just answer these questions below:
- Do you view my Blog's mobile version or web version?
- (If Mobile): Do you like it?
- Do you have any suggestions?
- (If Web): Do you like it?
- I've been told the background should be PJ related, but I, personally feel that when a Blog has a picture as a background, it doesn't flow. Do you agree, or do you think I should change it?
- Do you have any suggestions on things I should add to the sidebars/things I should take away from the sidebars?
- Do you like the overall color/font scheme of my Blog?
- (Mobile or Web): If you have any thing else you want to add, please tell me! Thanks!

Sorry!
So sorry I didn't post yesterday! My computer wasn't working!
Anyways, someone (who wanted to remain anonymous) emailed me the question:
"Are you currently reading any books? If so what?"
Well, yes, I am currently reading a book series. I just finished the first book in the series yesterday, and I have to say, it is really good. Percy Jackson good? No. But it is good. Here is my description of the book.
Legend, By Marie Lu
This book is about a future United States. In this future, a revolution is occurring from the colonies (eastern US) towards the Republic (western US). Every kid, upon their tenth birthday takes a test called the trial. Their grade on the trial basically decides their future. A good grade will get them into a good college, and will get them a high-ranking job in the military. A bad grade, however, could result in poor education, and a poor future. The story is told from two different Points of View; Day, a kid who failed his trial, and decided to fight against what the Republic wanted becoming a rebel, and June, the only person ever to get a perfect 1500 on her trial, and was sent to college early. As the book progresses, more secrets are learned about the Republic.
I don't really know how to say anymore without spoiling it. However, I will say this: If you are a fan of the ever popular series, The Hunger Games, I would definitely recommend reading this book. It is an interesting turn of events, and truthfully does have a great ending. I recently started reading the second book in the series, Prodigy. These are the only two books, however their was a never before seen prequel added recently. This prequel, Life Before Legend is very short however.
I'd really recommend that all of you read this and tell me your thoughts afterwards.

Coincidence?
So, I was just watching The Lightning Thief, and in the beginning Zeus goes to Poseidon and says something like, "If your son is the lightning thief, I will send him to the depths of Tartarus!" See anything coincidental there?
Percy, 4 years, 7 books later, is in Tartarus.
Just thought I'd share that with all of you!

The Hermes Express!
I don't know what to talk about, so how about The Hermes Express.
The Hermes Express is the Olympian's equivalent of a mailing service. It has been mentioned three times (that I can recall) throughout the Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus Series.
The Lightning Thief: Percy uses the Hermes Overnight Express to send the head of Medusa back to Mount Olympus after he beheads her in the battle at Aunty Em's Gnome Emporium. Later, he finds the same package in his bedroom marked "Return to Sender," sent back by Poseidon.
The Sea of Monsters: Hermes mentions to Percy that the Overnight Express business is booming, and later Poseidon also uses the service to send Percy a letter of which Hermes delivered himself.
The Demigod Diaries (Percy Jackson and The Staff of Hermes): While Percy is celebrating his one month anniversary with Annabeth, a Hermes Express truck appears on the lawn in front of them. No one else in the area notices it except them and Hermes came out of the truck, asking Percy a favor to find his Caduceus so he could make his deliveries on time. Percy returned the staff and Hermes finishes his deliveries.

What Are You Most Excited For?
Okay, so we've got 3 big things that will happen this year in the PJ Universe!
The Son of Sobek: A short story crossover between The Percy Jackson Series and The Kane Chronicles. Positives: This one is coming out first! Just three more months! This is a whole new topic, and there are so many possibilities. Negatives: It's only 40 pages!
The Sea of Monsters: Percy Jackson and the Olympians Movie 2; sequel to The Lightning Thief. Positives: Not so far away! It is the "second chance" of the producers! Movies are always fun! Negatives: It is the sequel to what is considered a terrible movie!
The House of Hades: Heroes of Olympus Book 4; sequel to The Mark of Athena. Positives: HEROES OF OLYMPUS/PERCY JACKSON/TARTARUS/DOORS OF DEATH!!! Negatives: So much longer!
So, all in all, I'd have to say I'm most excited for The Son of Sobek! I mean think about it, once that comes out, we'll be talking about it for a month. Then it'll be June, where the summer starts, and the time passes faster. Then, as we reach the end of the summer (sort of), The Sea of Monsters comes out. That, too will keep us busy for a month or so. Then, before you know it, it'll be September, and we can start our The House of Hades countdown! So, in my opinion, The Son of Sobek is the start of everthing!
- The Son of Sobek (May 7)
- The Sea of Monsters (August 16)
- The House of Hades (October 8)

The Son of Sobek Text!
I got a comment saying that many sites that had The Son of Sobek preview on them are getting blocked. In case you haven't read it [or want to read it again], here you go!
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN ANTHING PERCY JACKSON RELATED! IT IS STILL OWNED BY THE GREAT AND POWERFUL RICK RIORDAN!
ENJOY!

ENJOY!
The surface of the river churned with
bubbles. The crocodile was gone, but standing in the marsh about twenty feet
away was a teenage guy in jeans and a faded orange T-shirt that said CAMP
something. I couldn’t read the rest. He looked a little older than me—maybe
seventeen—with tousled black hair and sea-green eyes. What really caught my
attention was his sword—a straight double-edged blade glowing with faint bronze
light.
I’m
not sure which of us was more surprised.
For a second, Camper Boy just stared at
me. He noted my khopesh and wand, and I got the feeling that he actually saw
these things as they were. Normal mortals have trouble seeing magic. Their
brains can’t interpret it, so they might look at my sword, for instance, and see
a baseball bat or a walking stick.
But
this kid . . . he was different. I figured he must be a magician. The only
problem was, I’d met most of the magicians in the North American nomes, and I’d
never seen this guy before. I’d also never seen a sword like that. Everything
about him seemed . . . un-Egyptian.
“The crocodile,” I said, trying to keep
my voice calm and even. “Where did it go?”Camper Boy frowned. “You’re
welcome.”
“What”
“I stuck that croc in the rump.” He
mimicked the action with his sword. “That’s why it vomited you up. So, you’re
welcome. What were you doing in there?”
I’ll admit I wasn’t in
the best mood. I smelled. I hurt. And, yeah, I was a little embarrassed: the
mighty Carter Kane, head of Brooklyn House, had been disgorged from a croc’s
mouth like a giant hairball.
“I was resting,” I snapped. “What do you
think I was doing? Now, who are you, and why are you fighting my
monster?”
“Your monster?” The guy trudged
toward me through the water. He didn’t seem to have any trouble with the mud.
“Look, man, I don’t know who you are, but that crocodile has been terrorizing
Long Island for weeks. I take that kind of personal, as this is my home turf. A
few days ago, it ate one of our pegasi.”
A jolt went up my spine like I’d backed
into an electric fence. “Did you say pegasi?”
He
waved the question aside. “Is it your monster or not?”
“I don’t own it!” I growled. “I’m trying
to stop it! Now, where—”
“The croc headed that way.” He pointed
his sword to the south. “I would already be chasing it, but you surprised
me.”
He sized me up, which was disconcerting
since he was half a foot taller. I still couldn’t read his T-shirt except or
the word CAMP. Around his neck hung a leather strap with some colorful clay
beads, like a kid’s arts and crafts project. He wasn’t carrying a magician’s
pack or a wand. Maybe he kept them in the Duat? Or maybe he was just a
delusional mortal who’d accidentally found a magic sword and thought he was a
superhero. Ancient relics can really mess with your mind.
Finally he shook his
head. “I give up. Son of Ares? You’ve got to be a half-blood, but what happened
to your sword? It’s all bent.”
“It’s a khopesh.” My shock was
rapidly turning to anger. “It’s supposed to be curved.”
But
I wasn’t thinking about the sword. Camper Boy had just called me a
half-blood? Maybe I hadn’t heard him right. Maybe he meant something
else. But my dad was African American. My mom was white. Half-blood
wasn’t a word I liked.
“Just get out of here,” I said, gritting
my teeth. “I’ve got a crocodile to catch.”
“Dude, I have a crocodile to
catch,” he insisted. “Last time you tried, it ate you.
Remember?”
My
fingers tightened around my sword hilt. “I had every-thing under control. I was
about to summon a fist—”
For
what happened next, I take full responsibility. I didn’t mean it. Honestly. But
I was angry. And as I may have mentioned, I’m not always good at channeling
words of power. While I was in the crocodile’s belly, I’d been preparing to
summon the Fist of Horus, a giant glowing blue hand that can pulverize doors,
walls, and pretty much anything else that gets in your way. My plan had been to
punch my way out of the monster. Gross, yes; but hopefully effective. I guess
that spell was still in my head, ready to be triggered like a loaded gun. Facing
Camper Boy, I was furious, not to mentioned dazed and confused; so when I meant
to say the English word fist, it came out in Ancient Egyptian instead:
Khefa.
Such a simple
hieroglyph:
You
wouldn’t think it could cause so much trouble.
God of the Week 1!
I have now decided that every Monday, I will be doing "God of the Week!" This weeks god is Poseidon!
God: Poseidon
Roman Form: Neptune
God of: The Sea, Storms, Earthquakes, and Horses
Demigod Children*: Percy Jackson and Tyson (Frank Zhang is a descendant)
Weapon of Choice: Trident
Movie Actor: Kevin McKidd
My Favorite Quote: "This was a very dangerous thing to do. Even for you. If I hadn't looked before I blasted, you would now be a puddle of seawater.” Poseidon to Percy Jackson, The Last Olympian
Fun Facts:
If you have any preferences in who you want to see be featured as God of the Week, comment or email me, and it'll happen!
*When I say "demigod children," I am only referring to main characters

Fun Facts:
- He is the only god of the Big Three not to have two mortal children born to the same mortal woman (Zeus--Thalia and Jason; Hades--Nico and Bianca)
- He has the least demigod children out of all The Big Three
- He is the only of The Big Three to have a known legacy (Frank Zhang)
- He seems to be the most caring father of The Big Three
- He admits that his favorite son is Percy Jackson
- It has been said that his greatest weakness is Percy Jackson
- Out of all the godly parents of the seven, Poseidon is the only one not to have contacted their child in some way

Do You Believe This?
I always see this, but keep forgetting to post about it. Rick Riordan claims to have never seen The Lightning Thief Movie. Like seriously?!
He's said it countless times, on Twitter, on his Blog, and even on the official website!
[here is the question from his website under FAQ] http://rickriordan.com/about-rick/faq.aspx
Q: I have a question or comment about the Percy Jackson movie.

Q: I have a question or comment about the Percy Jackson movie.
A: Sorry, that’s not my department! I can only tell you that the movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, released Feb. 12, 2010 and directed by Chris Columbus, was based on my book The Lightning Thief. Understand that I did not write the script or help make the movie. I didn't even see it, because I didn't want the movie version to change the way I saw my characters or settings in the series! I just write the books. I can’t comment or provide any additional information about the movie version.
I'm sorry Rick, but I do not for one minute believe there is a chance in the Underworld that you didn't see it! I know I'm not a famous author, but I do not see it possible that you would not see a movie made because of you! I mean, I just don't believe it!
What do you think: Truth or Lie?

Fun Demigod Facts!
Many demigods' last names seem to relate to their Olympian parent in Riordan's series!
Here is a list of what I'm talking about:
Castor and Pollux, twin sons of Dionysus - They share the same names as the twins of the Gemini
Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares - In French, Rue is to regret, as Clarisse inflicts regret to all who face her in battle. Also a LaRue OBR is a type of rifle.
Connor and Travis Stoll, sons of Hermes - 'Travis' is a pun on the word 'travel', since Hermes is the patron of travelers, and 'Connor' is a pun on the word 'con', since Hermes is the god of thieves and con men, which was brought up in the Sea of Monsters. Also, their surname is a homonym for 'stole', again, since Hermes is the god of thieves.
Frank Zhang, son of Mars, legacy of Poseidon- Frank name means bow and spear and his dad is the god of war. Zhang is Chinese for 'Master of Bows', as mentioned in The Son of Neptune.
Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto - She is named after jewel which her dad controls.
Jake Mason, son of Hephaestus - Mason means "one who works with stone".
Jason Grace, son of Jupiter - He was named after the original Jason to appease Hera's wrath, because Jason was her favorite hero.
Katie Gardner and Miranda Gardiner, daughters of Demeter - Demeter is the goddess of the harvest and their last names refer to one who gardens or works with plants.
Lee Fletcher, son of Apollo - A fletcher is someone who makes archery arrows.
Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus - Leo is the zodiac sign for a lion, and the element for Leo is fire. It may also be a reference to Leonardo Da Vinci, a famous inventor.
Micheal Yew, son of Apollo - Yew is a favorable choice of wood to use for longbows.
Nico di Angelo, son of Hades - Nico is most likely derived from the Greek prefix Necro, to mean "dead". Di Angelo means "of angels" in Italian
Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon - Percy claims his mother named him Perseus, after the son of Zeus. Perseus is a Greek name which means "destroyer". The name has a reference to Poseidon, who is known to cause destruction like storms, earthquakes, shipwrecks, etc., when angered.
Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite - Piper was named "Piper" because of her charm speak, bestowed by Aphrodite.
Silena Beauregard, daughter of Aphrodite - Beau regard is French. It literally means "good looking."
Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus - The name of one of the three Graces (and nine Muses) is Thalia. She too, was a daughter of Zeus. The Muse Thalia sired the Corybantes, with Apollo. This Thalia was also attracted to Apollo, saying that he was "hot."
Will Solace, son of Apollo - Though Solace really means "to comfort in distress", just as Will comforted and healed Annabeth when she was injured, Solace could also be a play on the word "Solar".
Isn't that cool?
Thanks for Reading
P.S. Percy Jackson Movies had this cool fan-art contest! Here are the results (vote for your favorite): http://www.percyjacksonmovies.com/photo-contest/heroes-of-olympus-fan-art/

There You Go!
I got an email saying I wasn't creative enough! I'm not sure if it was a joke or not, but it got me thinking. I don't make many things that are on my blog, besides the posts, of course, so here you go!
I know, I'm not funny at all :). But you said you wanted to see me make somethings, and that's what I did.

The Son of Sobek Review!
WARNING: CONTAINS THE SON OF SOBEK SPOILERS!
In the beginning, I thought, Well...it could be better. However, throughout reading, I progressively began to love it more and more!
Let's talk about what we know:
1. It will only involve the main characters Percy Jackson and Carter Kane. No other main characters will be involved.
2. Some kind of fight is going to happen based on the end...and seriously Rick?! A cliffhanger ending to a preview to a short story which will just end in another cliffhanger!?
3. It will be told from the POV of Carter Kane. There may be Percy's also, but I doubt it.
4. Well that's about it...nothing else is evident.
Now, what I think:
1. Carter is going to be very sorry that he messed with Percy...it usually doesn't turn out well!
2. That crocodile was The Son of Sobek -- kinda obvious since Sobek is the Egyptian god of crocodiles.
3. Horus will be of a help to Carter in some way--Sobek was thought to be an aspect of Horus.
4. Poseidon will be of a help to Percy--Crocodiles=Water=Poseidon.
5. Poseidon and Horus will not meet -- I just think that would cause to much controversy for a 40 page story.
Well..that's it. Not much happened, but just the idea that all this is going to happen is amazing!
