My Last Post - For Now!

As I have told you all, I will be going away for the summer, and will not be posting for about 7 weeks. This is going to be my last post for a while...

First of all, you still have a chance to enter for a chance to win a free copy of Demigods and Monsters: The Expanded Edition...if you still want to enter, you are running out of time!

Now that we have that out of the way, I have thought for a while about what I would do for this post - I can't really think of anything Percy Jackson related that has to be posted right now - except that The Sea of Monsters comes out August 7! - so I am going to post about my first experience with Percy Jackson.

I think my first, or second post was about the same thing, but I doubt I had more than one or two readers back then, so I am going to attempt to do this again!

I was in sixth grade - my first year of middle school. I hated my E.L.A. teacher....hated her. She announced that we were going to begin reading a new book - I just got annoyed - while I do like reading (and did back then, to an extent, as well), I hate reading school books - they just aren't good, most of the time. Anyways, she gives us a book - The Lightning Thief - and I get kind of happy. I knew, back then, that I loved Greek Mythology, and she said this book pertained to it.

We read it together in class, and we eventually got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. I went home that day, and read ahead - something I rarely, if ever, did. By the time the class was about half-way done with the book, I had finished it. I think I even told my teacher. Then, I found the one class copy of The Sea of Monsters, and began reading it. By the time the class had finished The Lightning Thief, I had already finished The Sea of Monsters. Then, I ran to the store, bought The Titan's Curse, read it, bought The Battle of the Labyrinth, read it, and had to wait for The Last Olympian to come out.

Fun story....not really :D

Anyways, here is my current ranking of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus Books

  1. The Battle of the Labyrinth
  2. The Last Olympian
  3. The Son of Neptune
  4. The Lost Hero
  5. The Lightning Thief
  6. The Mark of Athena
  7. The Titan's Curse
  8. The Sea of Monsters
Like I've said in the past, if you ask me the question tomorrow, my order would probably be different - however, 99% of the time, The Battle of the Labyrinth is number 1, and The Sea of Monsters is number 8.

Thanks for Reading, and Have a Great Summer!

Big News!

Okay, so I entered a contest at Percy Jackson Movies. The contest was to write a story about any demigod in the series. Click Here for more information!

Anyways, voting starts tomorrow for the contest, and here is what I can do for you guys! First of all, I would love to win, so if you could, vote for my story, The Secret Room, tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day...But that's not all! If, on the off-chance, I win, I will give the prize to one of you guys! The prize is a copy of the extended edition of Demigods and Monsters, before it hits book shelves!

So, since I am leaving on Saturday, I have to decide who will get the book (again if I win), before then. There's really no time for an official contest, so here is how it is going to work. It is going to be a completely random raffle, and anybody could win! To enter, you could do one, of two things:
  1. Comment on this post: In the comment, you must leave an email address. Please, do not leave a mailing address, as you shouldn't be posting that for all to see. The comment is permitted to be anonymous, however, if it is, you must leave a name, in addition to the email address. It does not have to be a full name, but rather just something for me to refer to you as.
  2. Email me: Email me at percyjacksonjunkers@gmail.com. In the email, you must leave a name for me to refer to you as.
If you enter by comment, I will email you back as soon as possible. In order for your entry to be valid, you must email me back by 6:00 PM EST on Friday, June 21. If you do not email me back, your entry will not count!

If you enter by email, I will email you back saying your entry is valid as soon as possible. If I do not email you back within 24 hours, I did not get the email. If this is the case, email me again, as soon as possible.

The deadline for entering via comment is 5:00 PM EST on Friday, June 21.
The deadline for entering via email is 6:00 PM EST on Friday, June 21.

I will not accept any entries after the deadline, no matter what the reason may be.

Friday night, I will write down everyone's name on a piece of paper, and pull one out of a hat. The winner will be notified by 10:00 PM EST on Friday, June 21. If you win, your contact information will be given to the admin at Percy Jackson Movies, and if my story wins, you will be notified.

Limit of 1 entry per person. You can start entering now!

*In order to win the book, you must live in either the US or Canada*

Keep in mind guys that the winner will only receive a prize if I win the contest at percyjacksonmovies.com. If I do not win the contest there, the winner of this will not receive the prize, so please vote for me!

By entering this raffle, you agree that I have the permission to give your email to Percy Jackson Movies (if you win). You will not be spammed, and I will not give your email/information to anyone else.

Thanks, and Don't Forget to Vote, and Enter!

The House of Hades POV's!

Alright, so the big question going around right now is, who is going to have a POV in The House of Hades? Let's start off by going over what we know.

1) Hazel Levesque has a POV
2) Nico di Angelo does not have a POV
3) There will be at least one POV from Tartarus

Now, let's go over what we can almost be sure of.

1) There will be 4 POV's
2) The 4 POV's will be belong only to the seven

Now, time for my predictions.

1) There will only be 1 POV in Tartarus
2) There will be 2 Greek and 2 Roman POV's

If what I said above is true, we can conclude that:

1) Either Percy or Annabeth will have a POV (1 in Tartarus)
2) Either Leo or Piper will have a POV (2 Greeks)
3) Either Frank or Jason will have a POV (2 Romans)

Now, time for some more predictions.

1) Leo will have a POV: The main reason I think this is because of the synopsis; it talks about what Leo thinks; well, how would we hear Leo's thought without him having a POV?
2) Annabeth will have a POV: In the past, I have constantly been saying that I think it will be Percy, but I have changed my mind. First of all, I loved having Annabeth's POV in MoA; it was awesome! Also, I think Percy will definetely have a POV in Book 5, and it would be easier for Riordan not to give him one now.
3) Frank will have a POV: This is the one I am least sure of; I am basing it completely off of what may or may not happen at Camp Half-Blood. I just feel that if, in Book 5, the Romans and the Greeks are going to be "fighting," Jason is going to have to be the one to stop it, so I say Jason will have a POV in Book 5.

I also think these are valid predictions because it has two boys and two girls.

Keep in mind, these are just my predictions; for all we know, there will be 5 POV's, or he'll give Reyna a POV; this is simply what I feel is going to happen.

So, my final predictions on the POV's are:

1) Hazel
2) Leo
3) Annabeth
4) Frank

The reason I picked that order: We already know that Hazel is first, and I feel he has to have another person not in Tartarus before he goes there, so he can set a mood; it will probably be an important point in time when he just cuts us away, and puts us in Tartarus; then, obviously once we get comfortable there (if that's possible), he'll just throw us over to Frank!

Thanks for Reading!

Percy Jackon’s Book of Greek Gods!

Finally, we have a name!

Percy Jackon’s Book of Greek Gods is a story about a bunch of greek myths told from Percy's POV. Rick just blogged that he is going to be spending the summer finishing it up!

Also, some more great news (although many of you probably don't care)! Rick [and his family] just moved to Boston! Now I'm that much closer (me living in NY) to him! Soon, I will be able to round all of you guys up, and we will be able to storm his house and demand his next book (hopefully we will be ready in time for Heroes of Olympus: Book 5!

All joking aside, thanks for reading, and enjoy all of your summers!

P.S. Again, just reminding you guys that I will not be posting starting from June 21st, and going for a couple months, because I go away. I will, however, be here in time to do a review of The House of Hades: Sneak Peak, when it comes out on June 18!

I'm Sorry!

I forgot to post this when The Son of Sobek was released. Accidentally (I assume) they included the first page of The House of Hades. It is cut off mid sentence...

Hazel has a POV!

Also, check out percyjacksonfandom.blogspot.com for awesome things!

The House of Hades Trailer!

This is not the official trailer. I made this. I do not own, nor claim to own any part of Percy Jackson. All of it is owned by the wonderful Rick Riordan.

That said, I got bored, and I decided to make a [short] House of Hades trailer. It's really not that good, but it's just something I wanted to do. Here it is:

Tell me what you think (negative comments are still welcome)

Thanks for Reading/Watching!

I wasn't going to do a post today, but I owe you guys this one. I just can't believe that my Blog has hit 15,000 views!

I remember the first day I posted, thinking, If I actually stick with this for a week, that'd be amazing. Well, it's been 7 months, and I'm still coming in strong! I know I don't post as much as I used to, but I hope you guys know that it's not because I don't care to post, it's because I don't have the time to post.

I remember when I was amazed I hit 100 views.
I remember when I almost died hitting 500.
I remember when I basically did die hitting 1,000.
I remember my huge post for 5,000.
I remember doing a double take at seeing 10,000.
And now, here I am with 15,000!

Okay, so, just a little note in advance.

When The Son of Sobek: e/audio-book comes out, I will most likely be getting it. I will do my post about The House of Hades: sneak peek, and it will contain spoilers. I don't really think I can make a non-spoiler version of it.

I still am confident that the preview will be posted online somewhere, by someone, so anyone will be able to read it, anyways.

Now, the sad news:
On June 21, I go away for the summer, and I will not be able to post, for a while. It will be about two months later when I am posting. Hopefully, I will be able to sneak in one or two posts in the middle, but I can't make any promises.

Thanks for Reading!

The House of Hades Cover Review!

Yesterday, I didn't get a chance to do a huge review of the cover, so I'll do one now. I'm sure you've all seen it, but just in case, here it is, one more time!

I'm not sure how to do this, so I'll just write some bullets:

  1. Percy and Annabeth: Well, for all you Percabeth lovers out there (which is 99.99% of Percy Jackson Fans, there you go! They are together! They are alive! Also, this is the first time Annabeth has ever appeared on a cover.
  2. The Doors: Clearly, at the end, the Doors are in site. One would have to assume they are the Doors of Death, but who knows, Rick does trick us.
  3. Running?: It seems to me that they are running from something. This may just be perception, and they may be running because they see the Doors, but who knows? This brings me back to my prediction that the RickHanger of this book will be this scene: they will be at the Doors, and then it will end.
Now, did you all hear the news. Rick tweeted that Nico isn't having a POV. How sad. I'm still hoping for the Coach Hedge POV :D

My POV Predictions Are:

  1. Percy
  2. Leo
  3. Hazel
  4. Jason

Thanks for Reading!
