The House of Hades!

I haven't really done a post focusing on The House of Hades (Heroes of Olympus Book4) yet, so here is one.  I would assume (and hope) that most, if not all, of my readers have finished The Mark of Athena by now, and if you haven't, "What are you waiting for? It came out on October 2! You should have been done by October 3 at the latest!"

Release Date: October 2013. Official date not released yet (to my knowledge), but according to Wikipedia, it is October 2, 2013.  However, I seriously doubt this since that was the release date of The Mark of Athena, and I'm pretty sure they always come out on a Tuesday (or at least they frequently have in the past). So, if I had to guess, I would say it will be released on October 1, 2013(Tuesday)

Narrators: Obviously, this is not at all "true," but are just my guesses. There will most likely be four narrators. To be honest, when I finished The Mark of Athena, I thought Percy and Annabeth were not going to be included in The House of Hades, and I was completely devastated! However, sometime on his Blog or Twitter or something, Rick Riordan said Percy and Annabeth would be in The House of Hades. So, that leads me to assume that at least one of them will be a narrator. I doubt it would be both of them because I doubt they are going to get separated. It is hard enough, them being in Tartarus, that I feel the least Uncle Rick could do is to keep them together. So, for that reason I think Percy Jackson will be a narrator. Annabeth was not only a narrator in the last book (as was Percy), but was the last book, so now it's Percy's time to shine! Now, the other three is where it gets hard. The next one I'm going to talk about is going to be the most controversial one, as it's difficult to talk about him. Nico di Angelo was on the Argo II with the rest of the gang. He is going with them to Greece, and he is the only one who knows about the Underworld (well I guess Hazel knows too, but Nico knows the most). I know he isn't one of the seven, but I don't feel his time is done yet. The next one seems to come as a clear sign to me. Jason Grace was not a narrator in The Mark of Athena, and I believe he has to be one in The House of Hades. Now the last one is another tricky one, but I narrow it down to two people. Leo and Piper were narrators in The Mark of Athena, and therefore most likely will not be in The House of Hades. Hazel, I feel, will not be a narrator if Nico is a narrator, so I feel the fourth narrator will be Frank Zheng. This combination would make it an even distribution of Greek vs. Roman demigods, however this is pretty irrelevant considering all four narrators in The Mark of Athena were Greek. This would also be a possibly problematic combination due to the fact that all four of them are males. All in all, however, my prediction is Percy, Nico, Jason, and Frank.

Gods: Clearly, one or more gods will show up in The House of Hades. I'm going to try to name as many as I can. The first one should be pretty obvious. I would venture to guarantee that Hades will show up in The House of Hades. I wonder how that will turn out with both Nico and Hazel being there. I mean Hades technically isn't Hazel's father, right? Well at least this should guarantee Hades will be nice to them (I hope) My next guess is definitely possible. I believe Persephone will show up (too bad Grover won't be there). Next, I think Thanatos will be there, although he may not show up until Book 5.  From here on, it is basically just my guesses, as I can't really know any more. I think Athena will show up. I don't know why, but I think she will be there, either to tell Annabeth she needs to focus, to tell Percy he better take care of her, or to tell the Argo II that they better save her. Lastly, I think Mars is going to show up. I really don't have a reason for this haha. So, my final prediction is that Hades, Persephone, Thanatos, Athena, and Mars will show up in The House of Hades.

Things I Do Not Believe: Okay, there are too many things I can name that I think will happen, so I think it will be easier to name things that many people believe will happen, but I believe won't happen. Firstly, I hate to say this, but I do think The House of Hades will be the worst book in the series. I believe this because I don't see many things that will happen. All the things people want to see, won't happen in this book, I believe, but will happen in Book 5.  Secondly, I will say the one I am most willing to give up. I believe Reyna and Octavian will not make an appearance. Like I said, I am willing to give up this assumption if someone presented a good enough argument. Also, I believe Annabeth and Percy will not reunite with the Argo II. I feel this way for the same reason I feel my first assumption. They will not fight Gaea's forces until Book 5 in my opinion. Lastly, I believe Hazel will not decide who she loves, again for the same reason. I truly hope I am wrong on all of this because if I am right, this will be on the bottom of my favorite-least favorite order.

Anyways, that is all. Thanks for reading! Oh and I almost forgot, I'm trying to make a cover for what I think it will look like, but sadly I'm a terrible artist, and my computer art skills are not much better, so any of you who are good artists (computer or actual), send me what you think it will look like at percyjacksonjunkers@gmail.com, and I will post it here (assuming it isn't totally irrelevant). Thanks again!

P.S. If you read my blog and still want more Percy Jackson (because you are like me and can't get enough), head over to percyjacksonfandom.blogspot.com. It's really good!

  1. I really love your blog, but I found a mistake with your blog. Hazel only loves Frank! It even says so in The Son of Neptune, that it seems that they are going out. I was wondering if you could clear this out for me?

    1. Firstly, thank you that means a lot to me. And to answer your question, yes, she does love frank. However she is confused about Leo. Obviously she loved Sammy with all of her heart. How would you feel if your long lost love appeared out of nowhere? That's how hazel feels. She knows Leo isn't Sammy, but she can't get the topic off her mind.

  2. I don't think Nico will narrate b/c he knows alot, and Rick Riordan needs to maintain his shady character, this secrets, and I think there will be something he hides from everyone else until the end. Also, he isn't one of the 7

  3. I think percy will narrate also jason because well the are the main two important leaders plus i love them also if anyone will die or atleast be in seriois parrel it is probably percy because i think that it is his turned to be saved for once and frank and hazel will continue on and neither will die annabeth on the other hand i think in this book will just be mostly about the war between the camps

  4. Okay. Now let's look closer at that new book cover, shall we?
So there’s Annabeth and Percy in, obviously, Tartarus. Annabeth is being supported by Perce and it looks like she’s falling. I believe she is unconscious, but hopefully alive. Percy’s face is just a mix of emotions. Now imagine Nico who was there by himself. Riptide is in sword form and they are obviously running from something. Now we look at the bottom and there is SPIDE SILK. So there Arachne chasing after them, Annabeth is probably unconscious and Percy is helping them run. They are also wearing same clothing.
There’s lava, so something major battle will help them trying to escape. Both US and UK covers have lava. Probably lot of lava in Tartarus. Then there’s bat like things on the corner. I always thought they would be the Furies, but if I look at it closely, it looks like there’s more than three. So probably some more monsters.
Then if you look at the rocks, it looks like there are faces there. Now it maybe just be me and my FMA-ness, but those are probably souls of human monsters or things that scream agony. Makes the trip in Tartarus look deadly and well mad. Crazy. Insane.
The doors at the end are, most likely the Doors of Death. Percy’s eyes scare me. That must’ve been the look on Nico, just worse because he was by himself and he’s a bit weaker than Perce, and Nico was already had a mad look in his eye stated by Percy.
    Now to Rick’s tweets/questions/etc.
Rick already stated Nico won’t have a POV, but will have a big part.
He also stated there is only going to be five books in this series. I doubt all of this can be covered, but he is capable. But then Great Prophecies do take like a millennia years, so I’m thinking a major huge final books or another series, which I doubt.
    To the Prophecy:
Seven half-bloods shall answer the call
The seven half-bloods are, Jason Grace, Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, Percy Jackson, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang, and Annabeth Chase. Done.
To storm or fire, the world must fall
I believe this involves Percy, Jason, and Leo. Or one of the old titans or giants or Gods. But either way, the world must fall. And I belive that the world is referring to Gaea. So maybe the Gaea which is the world will fall. So basically the world will fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath
I think this refers to Nico’s promise. He promised to lead the others to the other side of the doors. I think to help Percy and Annabeth escape, he will sacrifice himself and well die. Then it will be the end of this book. This is what Rick meant about his big part.
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death
I have no idea what this means.
Apollo once said in The Last Olmypian that this prophecy might not happen in a lifetime. So I think that the second and last line might not happen now, but in the future, but I might be wrong.
‘It is very fitting that Gaea (the earth) is awakening and seven demigods must stop her, similar to how there are seven continents on earth after Pangaea (named after the Gaea).’
I think that the seven will destroy Gaea like how the seven continents split and destroyed Pangaea.
POVs. I believe will be Percy, Jason, Frank, and Hazel. As much as I would love a Nico, Leo, or Annabeth POV. I highly doubt the other two.
There is a limited interior cover. It shows the Argo II and a sea monster. There is someone with an arrow and I presume it is either Thalia or Frank. There’s a brunette which is either Piper or Hazel, which makes frank more likely to be the archer. Then there’s someone with a purple shirt on the monster. It looks like a guy, holding up something, he’s also wearing purple. So I presume its Jason, who is signaling Frank to do something.
I doubt any of the Prophecy Seven will die. I think Nico will die for sure. Also the prophecy will be a bit clearer. Gaea will awake. There are 608 page, making it about twenty pages longer than the Mark of Athena. I think some minor characters will appear and I think I read somewhere that Rick said that Calypso will appear.
And that are my predictions. Sorry it’s too long.

    1. First of all, nothings too long: I love reading what my fans have to say.

Secondly, I hope you read my most recent post, where I changed who I think has POV's.

Awesome predictions, and thanks for reading my Blog!
