Hmm, it definitely has a different feel to it than the past covers...it's just different. It seems like it's depicting the final battle scene. Oddly enough, Percy isn't on the cover. It seems like it's Jason (with the lightning), Frank (with the bow), and Hazel (with Arion).In the back, that might be the Argo II, but I'm not sure. I hope the cover will grow on me, but as of now, it's definitely not one of the best...
Next Tuesday, May 20, The Staff of Serapis e-book standalone comes out, which will include a sneak peak at The Blood of Olympus!

ReplyDeleteI doubt it, mostly because the Athena Parthenos was on it'd way to Camp Half Blood with Reyna, Hedge, and Nico

The one on the left is the giant king, Porphyrion because Rick Roirdan describes him to look like that in "The Lost Hero".The other one I have no idea

DeleteThe partial reason why there are only three demigods on the cover, is because Rick said that three is the most on each cover. And lets face it, the Greeks (*cough* Percy *cough) have been taking up most of the covers. As much as I love Percy, the other seven need to get a chance, right? But it would be better if Annabeth was on the cover (my favorite character), cuz she has NEVER been on he cover. Same for Piper...and I sooo agree, the cover could be better. I guess I'm so used to Percy on EVERY cover.
